Project

The Movement

In 2023, I initiated an independent documentary photography project around the Danish band The Movement during their Spanish tour. What began as a self-proposed artistic documentation evolved into an ongoing creative and technical collaboration within the framework of cultural production.

My involvement focuses on artistic creation, audiovisual documentation, digital communication structuring, and technical coordination in support of the band’s cultural activity.

Work Summary

In late 2023, I contacted The Movement with a proposal to document their Spanish tour through photography. The project was conceived as an independent artistic documentation of a live cultural production.

During that first tour, I combined documentary photography with practical coordination tasks typical of independent touring environments. A complex logistical situation required creative and technical problem-solving, reinforcing mutual trust and leading to continued collaboration.

From 2024 onward, my contribution expanded within the same artistic and technical framework to include:

  • Documentary photography and audiovisual production
  • On-tour logistical coordination in DIY contexts
  • Structuring and curating their digital communication channels
  • Reorganizing and relaunching their website as a centralized archive
  • Technical support for merchandise distribution systems

Over time, I assumed responsibility for the creative and technical management of their digital presence, including:

  • Autonomous curation and administration of their social media platforms
  • Coordination of communication materials with their record label
  • Technical follow-up with digital streaming platforms regarding releases and content visibility
  • Structuring dissemination strategies aligned with their artistic identity

All such activities are carried out as independent artistic and technical collaboration connected to cultural production and dissemination.

Challenges

Multi-Role Adaptability: Balancing documentation, communication structuring, and technical coordination in dynamic touring contexts.

Crisis Resolution: Managing unexpected logistical situations requiring rapid, autonomous decisions.

Identity Coherence: Ensuring consistency between visual output, communication tone, and artistic values.

Structural Organization: Building sustainable digital systems where informal practices previously existed.

Resource Constraints: Maintaining professional standards within independent cultural production environments.
